Readers Digest January Issue 2004. As usual, I never regretted subcribing to Reader Digest because the little paperback magazines always contain very interesting articles. The Article 'Still Searching For Psychic Power" will be the topic of interest today. Like the previous article attempting to use science to prove that we are amde to believe in god, this article attempts to use science experiments to prove that there are psychic people in this world. To me, it sounds seriously boring stuff and it is (unless they show me that someone actually managed to move people through the air using brain power!). Anyways, I read the article because I wanted to see whether my father's 'how to get a girl to look at you technique' really works. He says that it is human reaction. And he attempted to demonstate his technique to me in Thailand. Outside of the shrine, he pointed to a girl.
Father: "Doesn't that girl look like someone from your school?"
Me: "Her back facing us. Cannot see"
Father: "Nevermind. Just stare at her. She'll look at us"
And we did. Staring staring staring. The girl did not turn around to meet those BIG pretty eyes of my dad nor my sleepy eyes for that matter.
"Nonono. Don;t look away! Just keep staring:
"Dadddd. We have been staring for a while liao loh. Not funny! She must be super blur siya.....or sleepy like me (it was 9 AM in the morning"
Haha. My father's technique didn't work that day. But generally, I also believed that if you keep looking at a person, eventually she'll notice you staring at her. Haha. And thus
