A treat by Yu Sheng for his belated 22nd birthday. So here we are at our favourte hangout that is Marina South. Yu Sheng recommended us his favourite joint because it was away from the crowd and they gave us 'live' prawns as part of the package.

The only problem that day was the gastly winds which made cooking a challenge. In this picture, Swee Wei has time to strike a pose with the still uncooked pork while Kang Yang waits patiently in the background.

Brother Sim the 'chef' posing with his chopsticks?!?! We had a challenge to see who cooked the better soup. Tom Yam on his end and Chicken on ours. Needless to say, we lost because out soup got sabotaged by luncheon meat.

Here we have Chee Hao on the 'Tom Yam' side posing too. Confidence is written all over his face. But lets not forget that it was he who liked putting red dates and many other weird and 'exotic' spices (whole fish, crabs...you name it) into the soup.

To see the whole picture, one needs to take a step back. At the right hand side, you see Kang Yang and Swee Wei sitting down distressed. All attempts to fan the flames were futile and the pork was as you guessed slow cooking. It was a rosier picture at the lend hand side with furious activity and cooking going on. PS: Yu Sheng was lost as usual

Yusheng's 'birthday' cake. Its actually a 'lao po bing' which literally translated means wife biscuit. Definitely unique. But the candle on the 'cake' was actually a re-lightable candle. Chee Hao's idea. All these weird stuff can only be done by him for the record. The wind was a real obstacle in lighting a re-lightable candle. And yes, even after Yu Sheng blew the candle out, the thing never did re-light itself.

Presenting new superstar of the year, Sze Yu Sheng. Posing with the gang of 7 (6 because daddy was the photographer) and his present:D
