I'm 19. Yet I play badminton like i am 91 years old. I am finally qualified to play veterans singles! And its all thanks to one match with a 30 year old. He is crazy!! I mean his game plan kind of made sense in a way. Play so slow that I am forced to slow down my game and he'll slowly wear me out. But he is nuts! ANd its incredibly irritating how I tried to take control of the game by changing the pace. But...to no avail. And so within the first 5 shots, I knew I was going to be playing into his game which in badminton was the one thing you SHOULD never do BECAUSE he is controlling you and dictating the level of play. Namely, you have to second guess his moves and run more than him. ANd so this "old man game" took a little over an hour. Imagine if we had gone to rubber sets. Oh man. The umpire and the linesmen would have died of boredom.

Secondly, thanks to Huang Zhi Xiong, I have finally found a "lobang" to buy anime DVD! The only setback is the price which is $20 for one DVD. And since anime typically has an average of 20+ episodes, each DVD set usually cost about $40 to $60. But who cares? I'll buy one per month! Its that nice! And I'll SAVE! ANyway, I watched the final installment of Love Hina (which I bought today).

But...here is a little scene from Onegai (Please) Sensei (Teacher)
The female teacher: We'll get married in future
Student: oh...
Teacher: Whats wrong?
Student: Nothing. Its just that you seem older than me and our characters don't match
Teacher: But we'll be happy
Student: So our days will be filled with happiness?
Teacher: Not really. There will be times when we fight. When we'll cry when we'll argue.
Student: So then why will we marry then?
Teacher: Because even though I may cry I will still be happy inside.
Student: But happiness and sadness cannot co-exist!
Teacher: When you are alone at night, you'll feel lonely. When when you are with me at night, our nights will be filled with happiness.

I found a really old but sweet song while I was "radio channal surfing" on my way home from Ayer Rajah. Fortunately, I managed to download the song from Warez even though I got the title wrong. Here is the song I've never been me by Charlene

I've never been me

Hey lady, you lady
cursing at your life
you're a discontented mother
and a regimented wife
I have no doubt
you dream about the things you never do
but I wish someone had talked to me like I wanna talk to you

Oh, I've been to Georgia and California and anywhere I could run
Took the hand of a preacher man
and we made love in the sun
But I ran out of places and friendly faces
Because I had to be free
I've been to paradise but I've never been to me...

Please lady please lady
don't just walk away
Cause I have this need to tell you
why I'm all alone today
I can see so much of me
still living in your eyes
won't you share a part
of a weary heart that has lived a million lives

Oh, I've been to Nice and the isle of Greece
when I sipped champagne on a yacht
I moved like Harlo in Monte Carlo
and showed them what I've got
I've been undressed by kings
and I've seen some things that a woman ain't s'pose to see
I've been to paradise but I've never been to me...

Hey, you know what paradise is?
It's a lie
a fantasy we created about people and places
as we like them to be
but you know what truth is?
it's that little baby you're holding
and it's that man you fought with this morning
the same one you are gonna make love to tonight
that's truth that's love

sometimes I've been to crying for unborn children
that might have made me complete
but I, I took the sweet life
I never knew I'd be bitter from the sweet

I spent my life exploring
the subtle whoreing
that cost too much to be free
hey lady I've been to paradise
but I've never been to me...

I've been to paradise but I've never been to me...
