And so, thanks to one of my new safsa friends, I have in my possession a Love Hina DVD! Alright. Its been rumoured that Love Hina runs pretty parallal to the storyline of Ah! My Goddess and I was dying to see that for myself for a few reasons actually. First, Belldandy is absolutely one of the prettiest ladies that have EVER been drawn in anime and Naru from Love Hina is somewhat similar...(hmm...). Besides, the male character in question in this anime has a character somewhat similar to Keichi from Ah! My Goddess as well. The sad part was Ah! My Goddess had me hooked onto it for quite a while but it was evident that the goddess Belldandy would NEVER ever be together with Keichi FOREVER even though they do have feelings for each other. Now regarding this show. For commercial reasons, I have come to believe (without finishing the whole series to date) that the ending of Love Hina will somewhat be similar to Ah! My Goddess as in the lead character will never get together with the lead female character because it gives the company reasons to produce a sequel and to make us yearn for more. Besides..what story would there be to tell should they get together? So, yes..in a way. I'm already expecting to be disappointed with the ending. Sighz. The only bad part about Jap anime is that it makes you fall in love with their characters such that you wish for a happy ending that you know will never come. Sheese!
